A few pics from our weekend walk around Christchurch College’s beautiful grounds in Oxford. It is such a photogenic city, particularly in the bright winter sunshine.

Joe has recently discovered how much fun outside walking is, and whilst we did take the buggy, he walked for miles (baby equivalent…really 0.5 miles max!) It looked so funny with him toddling along, chasing dogs and ducks, and trying to jump in all the puddles. The groups of tourists were clearly amused by his cheekiness!

I expect everyone has a favourite thing about summer. Mine is definitely picnics. It is just assumed in our family that as soon as the sun comes out, so does the picnic basket! The best picnic food is really simple; usually just baguette, cheese, pâté and fruit. Sometimes we go to one of the local parks, or the river, but today we went to the arboretum at Nuneham Courtenay, just outside Oxford. It is such a beautiful place, especially in early summer. There are lots of places for picnic-eating…and lots of peahens too…who occasionally tried to steal our picnic!
