Creating A Cosy Social Eating Space

Create a cosy eating space at home

As we move towards the end of October and prepare for the clocks to go back an hour, there’s just something about socialising at home that is so much more appealing and cosy than going out! Having dinner with friends or family in the comfort of home is one of my favourite things about winter, and is the best of both worlds. As my autumn nesting season continues I am always looking for ways of making my home more comfortable, pretty and welcoming for this season, where so much more time is spent indoors.

Simple things such as adding some lovely wooden chairs or bar stools and lots of cosy throws and cushions to snuggle into help to create comfort and cosiness. I have gathered together a few favourites to create that homely hyyge feeling, so that whether I have spent all day cooking something amazing, or whether it’s takeaway pizza night, our home eating space will feel convivial and welcoming.

Two: Collaged kimi cushions

Three: Rustic etched glasswear

Four: Natural sheepskin

Alternative (Chocolate-free) Easter Gifts For Your Little Ones

Easter collage 1 Easter collage 2

If like me, you are trying to avoid complete chocolate overload this weekend coming I have come up with a few less sugary treats which your little ones might enjoy.

one – two – three – four

five – six – seven – eight

On Easter day I usually prepare a special breakfast for Mia and Joe, and have a great time decorating the table with blossom, chicks and bunnies…and a few mini eggs! I like to think this makes up for the lack of chocolate gifts from me (they receive plenty from their family and friends)! I choose a small gift for each of them too, often a book or a something to wear over the holidays!

We also have plans to make an Easter tree decoration for the kitchen, once school breaks up this Thursday. If I get a chance to, I’ll be sharing some photos later this week!
