Please tell me that it’s not just my children that are always hungry! Their little chorus of mama…need a snack. Or my favourite of Joe’s ‘I just need something’, which reminds me of Winnie the Pooh’s ‘time for a little something’ snack time. Mia and Joe enjoy eating healthily throughout the day, and are actually pretty good about mealtimes and eating their fruit and veggies; but of course they are growing and learning, so snacks are very important!
I like to give them plenty of choice, so nutritious snacks that we can carry around throughout the day are essential. We have been trying out the new range of Pulsin’ Kids’ Fruity Oat Bars and they have been a great hit with everyone.
The Pulsin’ Kids’ Fruity Oat Bars come in three yummy flavours; Strawberry, Blackcurrant & Apple and my favourite Orange Choc-Chip. They are made from lovely natural ingredients, including oats and fruit and even count as one of their five a day. They are also nut-free which is great, as Mia can take them to school in her packed lunch. Her school has a nut-free policy, as so many schools do now to protect those with allergies.
The new Pulsin’ bars are actually gluten free, dairy free and soya free too, and have no artificial ingredients at all. My little ones are lucky enough not to have any allergies or food intolerances, but so many kids now do, so a snack free from any of these is sure to be popular as a worry-free option for parents. And it’s nice to know they’re snacking on something that’s nutritious and really good for them!
Mia and Joe’s favourites were the Blackcurrant & Apple and the Strawberry flavour. This may have had something to do with trying them over the Easter holidays, and being surrounded by alternative chocolate options. The Orange Choc-Chip are delicous and I was quite happy to help them out with some snack testing!
Pulsin kindly sent us a box of each flavour Fruity Oat Bar to try out. All words and opinions are my own (and my children’s)…we really think they yummy!
