Pieces of our weekend

A peaceful weekend whilst we all rested from a crazy week of winter sickness and many cancelled appointments and activities. A fluey bug certainly does know how to disrupt the week’s regular routine. But now we’re back on track, it’s all good again and everyone is now healthy *shhhh*…crosses fingers!

On Saturday we went out for a walk at Hughenden Manor, just a little wander to get some fresh air and sunshine. The estate has some lovely woodland to explore, and a walled garden that must look amazing during the summer.

This little robin followed us around, singing so loudly and brightly. He moved fast though, so a slightly blurry photo.

And snowdrops, as well as daffodils and some really early wild primroses.

The most glamorous scarecrow, and so cheerful and colourful amongst the dull winter beds of the walled garden.

IMG_3119eIMG_3209eThe day ended with muddy toes and sofa naps for all of us…sometime a low key and fairly peaceful weekend is exactly what is needed.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend too!
