Hello new year! Somehow we’re already nearly a week into 2016 and I still feel like I’m still adjusting to this brand new start…a little late to the party as usual! Having enjoyed a wonderful break at home, enjoying time with family and friends, over the holidays it was back to work this week, and it has been such a shock to the system. I’m going to try my best not to complain about the dark mornings, wet weather and traffic jams, because I’m sure this week was much the same for most people.
I am busy planning new content for the blog, a little bit of an online spring clean! I have also made the decision not join in with the #52project (a portrait of each of my children every week of the year) . I joined in with this wonderful project of Jodi’s from Practising Simplicity, for three years. I have learned so much from the project in terms of creative, natural and spontaneous photography…and have three treasured books of weekly portraits, recording how my children have grown over this time. And, of course I will continue to take photographs of them, as I love to capture sweet and seemingly insignificant moments of their childhood. I hope that without the focus of the project, I still continue to take such regular portraits…I have a feeling I will, even when they sometimes complain a little when they notice what I’m doing!
So, wishing you well for a new year filled with lots of happiness, love and peace. Let’s hope that 2016 is a happy, healthy and productive one for all of us.
