Just before the summer holidays began, we visited Cotswold Farm Park, near Stow-on-the-Wold, for a day on the farm! Joe loves anywhere outdoors, especially places where he can visit animals, so having been recommended Cotswold Farm Park by a friend we decided we must visit!
The farm belongs to Adam Henson (of Countryfile fame!) and although we didn’t actually see Adam on the day, we did see lots of his lovely rare breed farm animals.
There was also a small animal barn with guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, chicks and goats, which could be held and fed. Joe was surprisingly unsure about this part, and very wary of the rabbits in particular!
The park has lovely picnic areas, as well as a great cafe with lots of wholesome snacks and really good coffee.
And a play park with giant digger climbing frames!
And so many tractors to drive! There were even electric tractors inside one of the barns and this was probably the highlight of the trip. Mia and Joe loved being tractor drivers and would quite happily have stayed in there all day.
I would really recommend a visit, for a laid back, outdoorsy day out. It is not as well-known as the nearby Cotswold Wildlife Park, and much quieter, so no queues or crowds even in the summer holidays!
