Photos of our weekend: Open Farm Sunday

I was pretty excited about this weekend, as it was Open Farm Sunday, and the weather having been really unpredictable all week, actually looked sunny! We had such a great time at Open Farm Sunday last year when we visited Sandy Lane Farm. I really wanted to visit another local farm this time. We visited Challow Hill Farm near Wantage, which is in a really beautiful location, and as the name suggests, right on top of a hill.

There were pigs and piglets, cows, goats, lambs, chickens and geese and even a few tiny chicks. As well as the animals to visit and feed, there were tractor and trailer rides, a hay bale climb, sheep shearing (demo only!) and an amazing hog roast and barbeque barn. Sitting in a field in the sunshine with an amazing hog roast snack and gorgeous views, whilst Mia and Joe happily roamed free, was pretty much perfect!

Why not take a look on twitter at the many other farms across the country that took part #OFSelfie #OFS
