Yesterday we went to the local ‘pick your own’ farm and had a great time collecting plums and greengages in the sunshine. This was followed by a short stop at the farm shop cafe for tea and cake…much needed!
I made a batch of mulled plum jam (maybe for Christmas presents, shhh!) and another batch of greengage compote. I love greengages; we had a tree in our garden when I was growing up, and the smell just reminds me of home.
